Today I encountered a Red Tailed Hawk in perfect lighting conditions. I was able to get about 15 feet from it and get some very close up shots. Please consider becoming a member. I photographed this bird in Oaks’ Bottom in Portland Oregon. This is a long slender bird and is related to flycatchers. It is between the size of a sparrow and a robin. It was in the field at oaks bottom catching bugs. I was able to get fairly close and get some nice pictures and videos.
