A Winter Day on the Willamette River in Portland Oregon

The winter can be dark and grey but today was an exception. There were some breaks in the clouds and I found a rainbow. There are people who chase storms in order to get footage of tornadoes. You will not find me chasing tornadoes but I seem to be always chasing storms in order to find the rainbow. So I consider myself a rainbow chaser. I succeeded today. I also found Anna’s Hummingbirds that display a rainbow of color.

The Beautiful Metallic Green Sweat Bee

Here is a gallery of pictures of the Metallic Green Sweat Bee in Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. Maybe a better name for this bee would be glitter bomb bee, or razzle dazzle sparkler bee, or disco ball bee. These bees possess antennae that are used for both taste and smell.
